The following image is inspired by a user (and in particular his username) that posts at TexAgs.com
See below to view some of the sketches and preliminary steps for this drawing.
Wayback Machine
Here is a post containing some artwork (mostly logos and banners in photoshop) that I created in the years prior to starting this blog and a couple more recent ones.

Full Body Practice
Here’s a sketch of a man in a suit for practice drawing a character’s full body. I seem to struggle a lot with drawing ripples, wrinkles, and waves in clothing, but this one didnt turn out too bad. I also (and it seems a lot of amateur artists do) seem to struggle drawing hands and feet, I notice the hands are notably absent here. After I drew this, I noticed the perspective error, the character’s right foot/leg needs to be smaller than his left, as it is it looks like his right leg is moved closer to the viewer due to forced perspective and it makes him look like he is standing in an uncomfortable position.
Updated Avatar
I finally got around to updated my social media and forum avatar. As you can see its a bit less silly than the previous version, and I think most would say it probably fits my forum persona a little better.
Here is an alternate version that I use at Big Soccer.
Sad Girl
This is a color image that began as a quick practice sketch shortly after completing copying the face exercises previously of previous posts. I drew this trying to go through the process from memory only and I feel the results were a little shaky.
More Manga Exercises
After drawing the first couple images from Christopher Hart’s book electronically (see previous posts), I drew a series of exercises detailing how to draw female and male manga faces from various angles as described in the book.
As before, these are reproductions I drew of images in in the book and are not original.
*THIS POST IS INCOMPLETE* Need to upload and post images.
